How the Calculation Works (2025-26, Salaried)

This calculator uses a progressive slab system for salaried individuals (salary > 75% of taxable income). Tax for each slab is calculated as a fixed amount plus a percentage of the amount exceeding the lower bound of that slab.

The slabs are implemented as configurable bands in code, so they can be updated centrally when FBR issues new rates.

Pakistan Salary Tax FAQ

Should I enter gross salary or taxable salary?
Enter your estimated annual taxable salary after allowable exemptions and deductions. For example, deduct approved contributions or allowances before entering the amount here.
Does this include tax on bonuses and other income?
You can include bonuses or other taxable employment income in the annual figure you enter, as long as they fall under salary income for the same tax year.
What about non-salaried or mixed income?
This version focuses on salaried individuals. If you have mixed or business income, you should consult a tax adviser or refer to detailed FBR guidance for your specific case.
